Pollen and/or macrofloral samples were collected from cultural deposits within five units at site CA-SDI-16,047 in Goat Canyon, California, on the border with Mexico. Goat Canyon opens to the north into the Tijuana River floodplain. Fossil streambeds indicate that this area was also a drainage prehistorically and that the stream meandered from place to place in the canyon over time.
