A total of eight bulk soil samples from the East Canyon Trench in Summit County, Utah, were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered from trenches along the East Canyon fault, a northeast-trending range-front fault generally bounding the northern side of the intermontane valley between East Canyon and Croyden in the Wasatch Range (Black and Hecker 1999).
