EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM THE HONEY LAKE FAULT, NORTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA (2006)
DOCUMENT Full-Text Kathryn Puseman.

A total of three bulk soil samples from the Honey Lake Fault near the town of Doyle in northeastern California were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered from a distinct stratigraphic layer of a stream cut exposure during a paleoseismic study. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
