A bison mandible containing teeth from the Trinomial 41CR30 site in West Texas was submitted for analysis of calculus and tooth impacta (Table 1) to identify the environment in which this bison had been grazing. Working on behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), archeologists from AmaTerra Environmental, Inc. completed phased data recovery excavations of the three sites.
