Site 48AB18 represents a buried prehistoric occupation on the top and north side of north-trending Strouss Hill in southeast Wyoming. First identified in 1980, this site has a long history of archaeological investigation. The upper component was radiocarbon dated to 1555 ± 75 BP during a previous investigation, while the lower component is anchored by recovery of a McKean-type point suggesting occupation during the Middle Archaic.
