This report to the Salt River Project documents findings of the 1985-1986 study of paleofloods in the Salt River Basin of central Arizona. Included are descriptions and analyses for flood deposits preserved at sites on the Verde and Salt Rivers and Tonto Creek. Stratigraphic interpretation, hydraulic modeling, and radiometric dating allowed us to make inferences about paleoflood timing, frequency, and magnitudes during the latest Holocene at the three study sites.
