Samples from rooms and midden areas at Frank’s Pueblo, site LA 9032, were examined for pollen and/or macrofloral remains. This site is part of the Salinas Pueblo District in central New Mexico and is one of several small, plaza-oriented, aggregated masonry pueblos on the Chupadera Mesa that formed in the late AD 1200s. The survey was required by Holloman Air Force Base in order to use a portion of the survey area as a bombing and strafing range. Prior to 1985 the area had been utilized as a target range for at least 20 years. This report describes the cultural resources found, summarized the research conducted, and makes recommendations for the future protection of the archaeological resources.
