In 2011, an archaeological excavation was conducted at Site 28-BU-542 within Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL). Site 28-BU-542 is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places under Criterion D of 36 Code of Federal Regulations 60.4 and is a portion of the historic community of Pointville dating from the early nineteenth century.
