The U.S. Army contracted MACTEC/Pacific Environmental Services, Inc. to complete a Phase I cultural resources survey of approximately 1,676 acres in Tactical (TAC) Areas 9A, 9B, 9C, 10A, and 10B at Fort Dix, Plumsted Township, Ocean County. The study stratified the five TAC areas into high and low archaeological site probability based on environmental factors and judgmentally placed 27, 500-foot by 500-foot blocks and 3, 250-foot by 500-foot blocks.
