An archeological field reconnaissance led by Ronald Hicks from Ball State University was carried out for the proposed Visitor’s Center at Lost Bridge State Recreation area on the Salamonie Reservoir, Indiana. "The Department proposes to widen the existing two-lane ditch section of S-5 to accommodate the addition of a turn lane at the truck entrance to Kimberly Clark in Aiken County, South Carolina (Figure 1). The project is approximately 0.5 mile in length. Existing right-of-way is 66 feet. Proposed new right-of-way ranges from 90 to 110 feet along the length ofS-5. However, 90 feet ofnew right-of-way will be acquired along the east side of S-5 (Sta 21 + 66.83) where a culvert extension is proposed."
