In the spring of 2005, students with the Legacies on the Landscape project, under the direction of Matt Peeples, located and recorded outlying structures in the vicinity of Pueblo la Plata, on Perry Mesa. Outlying structures were mapped using the tape and compass method, resulting in plan maps by Will Russell.

Agricultural terraces from two sites on Perry Mesa (La Plata and Bull Tank) and one site at the north edge of Black Mesa (Richinbar Ruin) were investigated using pollen analysis. The samples are listed in Table 1 by site and context. The sites are located on mesas bounding canyons containing the headwaters of the Agua Fria River.
