Arizona State Parks has completed archaeological monitoring for excavations associated with park improvements at Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park, Yuma, Arizona. A large collection of plant materials from various sites excavated along the Navajo Power Project Coal Haul Railroad was studied over a period of two years by Neal Lopinot. Most of the collections were examined before he left the St. Louis region to continue his graduate studies. Samples from features at several sites on the Sanchez Copper Data Recovery Project area in southeastern Arizona were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains.
