Evidence for Sedentary Hohokam irrigation of the floodplain below the Los Morteros site introduces the first well-documented canal systems in the Tucson Basin. In addition to the canals, two Late Archaic wells were found in association with a seasonal campsite. The presence of cultigens at the camp indicate that the advent of agriculture on the floodplain well preceded the ceramic period.
