A Late Precontact groundstone tool recovered on the exterior of a tipi ring was washed by the client to obtain phytolith and starch evidence of use. Situated on the first river terrace of Bow River, this stone feature and campsite likely represents ancestral Blackfoot occupation and possibly one or more Middle Precontact occupations.

Ais Giorkis, K. Ortos, and Mylouthkia represent PPNB occupations in Cyprus. Wash samples from ground stone recovered at these contemporaneous sites were submitted to PaleoResearch Institute to determine whether or not the pollen and phytolith records are similar.
