This is a poster submission presented at the 2022 annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology. Approximately 1,000 German soldiers were held as prisoners of war at Camp D-D from 1943-1946. During their confinement, POWs would plant ornamental vegetation to beautify the otherwise sterile landscape.
