Site 13DB889 is situated within a historic, urban neighborhood along Rhomberg and Kniest Streets in the City of Dubuque, Iowa. The nineteenth to twenty-first century homes were occupied predominantly by working-class, German Catholic residents (Leah D. Rogers, personal communication August 10, 2016). Several privies, possibly used into the 1910s, were sampled for pollen, parasite, and macrofloral analyses.
