In connection with archaeological mitigation for the Colowyo Railroad in Moffat County, Colorado, pollen samples were taken from five sites in an attempt to expand the database for paleo-environmental interpretations in the area. Three of the sites were open sites, including 5MF338 (Upper Round Bottom Site), 5MF340 (Lower Round Bottom Site), and 5MF460 (Perseverance Site). Two rockshelters were also represented; 5MF281 (Empire Park Site) and 5MF435 (Duffy Shelter).

Ten pollen samples from five prehistoric hearths (site 5MF95B) were submitted for analysis by the Powers Elevation Company. The site is located in Section 12, T 11N, R 100W, Moffat County, Colorado, during the archaeological monitoring of well pad and access road construction.
