Three archaeological sites located between Taylor and Shumway, Arizona along State Highway 77 were sampled for pollen analysis. Sites AZ P:12:33(ASM) and AZ P:12:35(ASM) have been tentatively identified as Archaic through the presence of early projectile points, absence of ceramics, and a single radiocarbon age of 690 ± 150 BC from AZ P:12:35(ASM) (Weaver, personal communication, August 11, 1989).
