Fossil pollen, phytoliths, macrofloral remains, and charcoal from archaeological and geological sites at the Jewett Mine, Texas are analyzed in this appendix. Pollen analysis provides an overview of regional vegetation and hence paleoenvironments for this area. Pollen columns were collected at an alluvial geological site in the Buffalo Creek floodplain and at an archaeological site 4ILNI06, in the Lambs Creek drainage for this reconstruction.
