Six lithic artifacts from Site CA-LAN-863 on Edwards Air Force Base in southern California were analyzed for possible protein residues. Immunological studies of residues from a tool's surface are based on modified forensic procedures. This site is being evaluated for eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places.
