The fill of a basin-shaped hearth (Feature 8) at Site 48NA2353 was floated to recover charred macrofloral remains. This site is believed to be a prehistoric campsite and consists of hearths, a stone circle, metate fragments, a mano, lithic artifacts, lithic debitage, and oxidized sandstone. Macrofloral analysis of the hearth fill is used to provide information concerning plant resources utilized at the site.
