Pollen and phytolith analysis on a single sediment sample from the Heron Site (CA-SDI- 14,152) was undertaken in an effort to gain insight into the local environment in which the paleoinhabitants lived. The site is located along the San Diego River in San Diego county, California, and is believed to be Late Prehistoric.
