Ten pollen samples were examined from three trenches at Aztec Ruins, New Mexico. Backhoe testing was conducted some 100 meters south of the ruins. This area is suspected to have functioned as an agricultural area during the Anasazi occupation. Pollen analysis was undertaken to understand the use of this area and to attempt to recover evidence of agriculture.
