MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF HEARTH, REFUSE PIT, AND PRIVY FILL FROM HISTORIC SITES IN THE CARLOTA PROJECT, ARIZONA (1997)
DOCUMENT Full-Text Kathryn Puseman.

Samples from the fill of late historic hearths, refuse pits, and privies at seven sites on the Carlota project were floated to recover macrofloral remains. These sites are believed to have been occupied primarily by Euroamerican miners and ranchers around circa 1910-1945 +. Macrofloral analysis is used to provide information concerning plant food resources utilized by the later historic occupants of the area.
