Both sites 24BH2317 and 24BH2613 are located in southeastern Montana on the west side of the present Tongue River Reservoir. Site 24BH2317 is a tipi ring campsite located on the upland, moderately rolling short grass and sagebrush prairie bordering the flooded valley of the Tongue River. This site appears to have a radiocarbon date of 3930 + 60 BP, indicating a McKean occupation.
