Pollen and macrofloral samples were examined from the floor of a large, straight-sided pit at Site 42SL285 in Salt Lake City, Utah. This site is a Fremont habitation site with pit houses, a burial, animal bone, and artifacts. The floor and sides of the pit (Feature 3) were covered with mud, some of which was partially fired.
