Fill from a hearth (Feature 9) on the floor of a shallow, vertical-walled pit (Feature 8) that might represent a small pit house at site 32MO362 in southern North Dakota was floated to recover macrofloral remains. A charred corn cob fragment was found on the top of the hearth fill and was measured. Three large, simple-stamped sherds were present in the hearth and are diagnostic of a Plains Woodland occupation.
