An uncharred corn cob from 5MF2723 in western Colorado was submitted for phytolith analysis. Measurements were taken prior to analysis and a portion of the cob was submitted for radiocarbon analysis. This cob is associated with a slab-lined cist (granary) located inside a small opening in the rocks above the Green River in the Gates of LaDore Canyon.
