A total of 15 bulk sediment samples from the Quinault River drainage basin in the western Olympic Peninsula, Washington, were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. Samples were recovered from floodplain deposits on terraces inset into a glacial moraine that dams Lake Quinault, as well as from sand and silt beds within alluvial fan deposits from Finley Creek, a major tributary in this section of the Quinault River.
