Samples from pit features at site 42UN2889 in northeast Utah were sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains. Pollen analysis was undertaken on samples from four archaeological sites (34HP70, 34HP76, 34HP131, and 34HP138) in the panhandle of northwest Oklahoma. A piece of groundstone and a soil control sample were examined at 34HP70 to determine what, if any, plants were ground using this tool.
