Site 48SU261 is located in the Green River Basin, south of the town of Pinedale, Wyoming. It is situated within eolian sediments on a low ridge about five miles North of the New Fork River. The site contains an Early Archaic component dated to about 6900 BP and a Late Archaic component dating to 3950 BP.
