Three pollen and three soil samples from an Archaic encampment (5EA484) near Basalt in Eagle County were submitted for analysis. Site 5EA484 is located in a pinon/juniper forest at an elevation of 6810 feet along a bench above Blue Creek in the Roaring Fork River Valley in west central Colorado.
