"Left Behind": The Transition of a Farming Community Into Camp Atterbury (2015)

On 6 January 1942, the United States Army announced that it would build a 40,000 acre training camp in rural central Indiana. The residents of the farming community were given less than six months before they were displaced from their ancestral land for the construction of the camp.
