A comprehensive landscape survey covering 2,000 acres of private property was conducted this past May in the Sierra Diablo Mountains of far west Texas. The survey targeted a previously unsurveyed portion of the mountain range and surrounding alluvial fan environments adjacent to Sierra Diablo Cave with the goal of assessing the relationship between settlement and landform.
