Samples from three columns at Site 48001712 in the southern Powder Basin of northeastern Wyoming were examined for pollen , and a mano was washed to recover pollen from the ground surface. In addition, flotation sanples from five hearths and a charcoal scatter were sampled for macrofloral remains. Two activity areas were noted at this site that are separated by about 80 meters. Radiocarbon dates suggest a Middle Archaic occupation, with the possibility of an earlier Early Archaic component....
