During Late periods, the use of domestic animals as camelids and guinea pigs were part of a fiscalized economic system which allowed a better management of faunal resource for consumption. These animal species also had a symbolic meaning in the Andean cosmovision that led them to be used in ritual spaces, along with another animals as canids, amphibians, deers, birds and felines.
