Influented by the global climate fluctuation in the Late Glacial Maximum(LGM, ca.24,000-18,000 KaBP), Chinese antient hunter-gatherers underwent the climate cooling. Shizitan Site completely recorded the surviving process of hunter-gatherers in the valleys of Middle Yellow River. Supported by 71 AMS 14C dates, more than 10m-thick layers with human occupations fall into the LGM period.
