This report provides an inventory and assessment of the Cold War-era (1945-1991) built environment at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. Lackland AFB was established as a training facility to support Kelly Field during World War II. After the war, the base remained the primary, Air Force basic training installation and remained so throughout the Cold War.
