This report provides an inventory and assessment of the Cold War-era (1945-1991) built environment at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. Lackland AFB was established as a training facility to support Kelly Field during World War II. After the war, the base remained the primary, Air Force basic training installation and remained so throughout the Cold War. This letter serves to notify the Nevada State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) of NAFB's plans to demolish ten buildings (432/433/434/436, 438 (Gym and Pool Complex), 604, 778, 867, 899, 80, 81 , 82, and 95) of which four are historic (circa- pre 1965) and six are Cold War-era resources (circa pre-1991) located at Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases, Clark County Nevada.
