The Portuguese rule in Goa, India has left behind a lot of tangible remains in the form of antiquities.  These include religious structures and secular edifices including equipments used for some specific purpose or common house hold articles.  One such site that is of interest to the authors is the Gun Powder Factory at Panelim, similar to one at Barcarena (near Lisbon).
