Classic Maya Material Worlds: Using Cultural Models to Transform Archaeological Practice and Interpretation (WGF - Post PhD Research Grant) (2015)
DOCUMENT Full-Text Sarah Jackson.

This resource is an application for the Post PhD Research Grant from the Wenner-Gren Foundation. From the Tangible to the Intangible: Virtual Curation of America’s Historic Past (2013)

Highbourne Cay Shipwreck Revisited: 2015 Field Season and Preliminary Assessment (2016)
DOCUMENT Citation Only Nicholas C. Budsberg. Charles D Bendig. Samuel P Turner. Chuck T Meide.

Previous investigations on the Highbourne Shipwreck in 1986 revealed key construction features that were backfilled for preservation. In May, 2015, a team of archaeologists returned to assess the site, and to answer reflexive questions regarding the effectiveness of partial excavations and backfill techniques. This new examination includes a pre-disturbance photogrammetry model, and limited shovel testing along previously excavated areas. Preliminary results discussed within this paper indicate...

This is an abstract from the session entitled "Paper / Report Submission (General Sessions)" , at the 2022 annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology. The roots of American archaeology trace back to 19th century investigations of American Indian mounds and earthworks. Many of the country’s prominent museums were founded on collections made during these early mound explorations. However, most of these collections lack provenience and provenance. Warren K. Moorehead’s work at...
