The Texas Historical Commission has drafted this correspondence to reinforce its stance on the construction of the Branch Exchange/Shoppette, its location, and its effect on the surrounding area. While there are many processes of the project that the Commission is in agreement with, there are a few forms and other documentation that the Commission is not in agreement.

Fort Sam Houston sent the Texas Historical Commission design information on the proposed Branch Exchange Shopette to be located on Wilson Street in the Conservation District. This letter from the Commission gives approval of the design and also details concerns about the removal of the railroad trestle bridge.
