Fort Sam Houston submitted an information package to the Texas Historical Commission on the installation of ceiling fans in fifteen quarters on Staff Post. The Commission concurs with the determination of "no adverse effect" and request that the ceiling fans be simple in design. Copied to this correspondence is David Brigham, Fort Sam Houston.

The Building was constructed in 1881 and listed as a Category I historic property eligible for the National Register.
