In October of 1996, the Fort Dix Historic Preservation Office (FDHPO) completed a preliminary archaeological investigation in the 2100 Area at Fort Dix. Fort Dix plans to construct a pump station on the south side of Saylors Pond Road, about one-quarter mile west of Route 68. In June and July of 1998, the Fort Dix Historic Preservation Office (FDHPO) completed a preliminary archaeological investigation in Tactical Training Areas (TTA) 9-13 at Fort Dix.
