Between 1997 and 1999, archaeological investigations at several sites along the Santa Cruz River in Tucson, Arizona, resulted in the collection of pottery from a wide variety of temporal contexts in a relatively limited geographic area. The analyses of these ceramics culminated in a selection of sherds from multiple sites for petrographic analyses. The result is four petrographic data sets with overlapping analytical requirements.
