This is an abstract from the session entitled "Paper / Report Submission (General Sessions)", at the 2023 annual meeting of the Society for Historical Archaeology. The Continental Gunboat Philadelphia was built by Gen. Benedict Arnold in the summer of 1776 and was sunk that October by the British during the Battle of Valcour Island in Lake Champlain.
