With the invention of the mechanical, circular saw in 1928, can the spacing of the saw marks clue us in to what type of saw was used? Saw marks on animal bones at two sites in St. Charles, MO are analyzed to determine if they were sawed by hand or by a machine and perhaps whether or not people used a circular saw or straight saw.
