Scott Air Force Base is planning to demolish Building 48, located in the Scott Field Historic District. This case alternatives report provides a brief history and statement of the historical and architectural significance of Building 48 and discusses the buildings current use and viable case alternatives. Demolition is the most viable alternative for Building 48 in order to prepare the site for future requirements per the General Plan. Demolition will minimally affect the Historical District.
