An archaeological survey conducted by Desert Archaeology on a parcel of state land slated for sale resulted in the discovery of a small historic site. This site is located at the base of the Mule Mountains and consists of a small, dry-laid rock foundation and an associated artifact scatter. The site was potentially eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places under criterion D.
