As part of Yucca Mountain site Characterization activities, the Department of Energy plans to drill as many as 30 neutron bore holes at locations near Yucca Mountain. As of March 1992, 16 locations had been chosen and field staked by the project Principal Investigator (Figures 1 & 2).
